Pool hall stuff

#245691 by wrmnfzy » Sat Feb 10, 2018 5:23 pm

Have a friend that just bought a pool hall and is in the process of remodeling the place. He asked if I could make some pool ball racks and a cue stick holder for about 20 cues that would be free standing. Solid oak racks run about $50 each and the cue holders about $150. I was able to make 7 racks for about $40 and the cue holder for $60. The cue holder has lazy Susan hardware so it can rotate. He will put the finish on them.

They look great, and I bet those racks will rack ‘em up nice and tight.

So are you being paid in free pool games?

Since I'm getting older and my hands aren't as steady as they once were I made the racks a little bigger than normal so I can rack them tight and still get the rack off without moving the balls.

They are good to me and I to them.

You are right, don’t hear pool hall much, showing my age. Wayyyyyyy back when I started playing we had rack boys and it was six racks for a quarter. Yikes, I’m old.
