I agree with what Ron said. The E in the serial number denotes it was made in the Eastern Plant and the serial number being that low puts it not long after the Eastern Plant went into production.
Your 10E has version 2 of the headstock, the larger Base and the 4 Bolt Headrest. It also has the Wood Extension Table and version 2 of the Tailstock. This information comes from the pictures I saw of it. 10ER's did not have the Wood Extension Table and it is one of the changes that occurred shortly before the 10E became the 10ER.
None of the 10E Manuals I have or have seen have a date on them. For a manual for it check under the Maintenance and Repair section for Shopsmith Large Format Drawings, Illustrations and More by Everett Davis. This will be one of the first three topics. In it you will find a wealth of information on the Shopsmith tools. Some are directly linked there and others are on “My Google Drive” with documents too large to be directly linked.
