Under the SS Storage Cabinets

Hi jwg269, I have all three under my SS as I do not have the Lift-Assist yet. My question really is a request to anyone that may have no use for and are willing to part with any extra handles they may have. I am building some shop cabinets and the storage cabinet handles are perfect for drawer handl...

Horsepower revisited

Today, I visited the Home and Garden Show @ the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma WA. Mike was manning the Shopsmith display. On two occasions during his presentation, he referred to the SS as supplying 2 1/4 horsepower. I am wondering how that is figured since the SS has a 1 1/8 HP motor. Can anyone explain th...

Refinishing vinyl covered cabinets

Hi Jim, If the cabinets are made from particle board:eek: , as I suspect they are, you do not want to peel the imitation picture off the surface. The surface that you are trying to cover is not really made for refinishing. Some finishes may even "melt" the imitation woodgrain finish that i...

SS Bandsaw Shrieker

Regarding the Marvel Mystery Oil: I too have used it, but be careful if you are using it on pneumatic tools. I was told by two differant sources that that particular oil is harmful to some components in the air tools. My first source was a repair shop that was repairing my air nailer:o . My second s...
