Actually my favorite tool isn't the Shopsmith, its a sawmill. With a sawmill you can make round trees into small square boards which you can glue up into bigger square boards and put on the Shopsmith lathe and make round again. :D . I've got a DC motor from Skip, and it is without a doubt, the best addition ever for an ER. Skip had a motor with a cracked end mount, but it also had a normal (type 56) mount. New? So new in fact that Magna/ Shopsmith invented the same type tool back in the 50's. The Shopsmith Jigsaw. I'll go you one better. The ER jigsaw, has a removable upper section, which makes almost identical to this. It will hold jigsaw blades, upside down, sticking up through a hole in the table....
