Stainless Steel Bread Knife Blades

Does anyone know if there is a source for bread knife blades made of stainless steel. I mean those that are intended for a bow shaped knife. The only supplier I know up here does not carry stainless steel blades.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks

I often remove the sticky labels from wood by heating them with a hair dryer or paint remover gun and using a putty knife to lift it. I imagine this would work on the disk as well and may be quicker than some of the suggested methods.

John: Hi and it's good to know there is more than two of us. I believe there is also someone (Ryan) from Cranbrook, Ontario, though I don't know where that is. Are you a Shopsmith owner or a member as a fellow woodworker? Shopsmith owners in Canada seem to be few and far between, or very shy as I di...

Canajuns?

Are there any other Canadian members on this forum?

If so, where are you from?

I am always amazed at those pictures of the gliders, and to think that they are made by such young people is doubly amazing!

Thanks also for the tips on the Wixley. I don't have one but like many others hope to get one soon.

Weekly Blog April 23rd

FINALLY, the snow is gone and spring has sprung in Montreal. Not much activity in the shop as it was too nice outside. I did get around to purchasing a small 1hp dust collector with a 2 micron filter bag, to replace my shop vac. Reducing the hose to 2 1/2" to fit the ports on my equipment also ...

I agree with Paul.

I have had a wobble blade ever since I had my SS and have never been satisfied with the result. About a year ago I bought a stacked set on sale at Sears and even though this is not a top quality set, the difference is very noticeable and satisfying.

Good luck.

I don't have the conical sanding disk but after having similar problems to those discussed on my regular disk, I switched to the velco system with no further problems. Is this not available for the conical disk? If it is it is worth a try. Now having said that, I tend to be lazy and leave whatever g...

You are not the only one. I always click on "New Posts" but sometimes end up with old ones. Not being technically inclined, I at first wondered if I did something wrong. Now I just shrug and move on.

Have fun

That's a very nice door in your original post. It is the quality of work that I aspire to but rarely have the confidence to attempt.

Also nice pictures of your set-up.
