Re: 10ER Shaper Fence vs 500 Shaper Fence

Looking at one of the pictures of the 10ER shaper fence, one of them looks the same as the shaper fence for the Model 500 table.
Anyone know for sure if the Model 500 shaper fence would fit the 10ER table?
Thanks much!

Re: Sawsmith Add-A-Tool Bracket

For the future I got this reply from another, "Sawsmither" at another forum that I posted this question. The replay was, "I have a brand new still in the box old stock tool bracket. It came with FOUR bolts, 3/8" x 1" course thread bolt with lock washers." It worked!!! I...

Sawsmith Add-A-Tool Bracket

I came upon a reasonable condition Sawsmith RAS and it had the Add-A-Tool Bracket included.
Would anyone know what size bolts are use to mount the Add-A-Tool Bracket to the Sawsmith?
I thought I read documentation somewhere in a manual or something but I am unable to locate the details. Thanks much!

Mark 2 - Stuck Quill

- I know I am stepping far out on a limb on this one. I just picked up a free Mark 2 - Serial Number 8589. The old "Wards Power - Kraft" motor is good and runs smoothly, the bearings seem good (yes it's an old 1/2 HP motor). - The problem is the quill is stuck solid and will not move. The ...

Shopsmith 610 Jigsaw vs Shopsmith Scroll Saw

I have a Shopsmith 610 Jigsaw and have looked at a used Shopsmith Scroll Saw. What are the differences between the old Shopsmith model 610 Jigsaw versus the newer Shopsmith Scroll Saw? Basically what are the advantages to the newer Shopsmith Scroll Saw? I have the 610 jigsaw but have checked out a u...

Re: Sawsmith 2000 SIZE??

I have a line on a Sawsmith 2000 for a good price but 2 hours away. Doesn't that Sawsmith top table portion separate from the base so that it is two pieces? I have a hatchback car and thought it could fit both if separated. I have carried whole disassembled Shopsmiths in it. Thanks

Re: The Ultimate Sawsmith Radial Arm Saw Thread

I am trying to oil the sheaves and thus need to remove the belt guard cover. I can remove the four screws that hold the belt guard in place. However, a collar ring is held on by this hex set screw and not being able to get the hex set screw off the arbor prevents me from getting the belt guard cover...

Re: The Ultimate Sawsmith Radial Arm Saw Thread

How do I oil the sheaves? I am unable to remove the belt assembly cover. It seems a ring with a hex key set screw is over the right output arbor shaft. Thanks

Magna Jig Saw Cracked mounting tubes

I have an old Magna 18 inch Jig Saw. It fell and cracked one of the holes on the bottom of the unit that the mounting tubes go up into. This would be made of cast aluminum, correct? Any ideas would be appreciated. I don't think JB weld would do because of the extreme vibrations. I did wonder if the ...
