If having quality, precision tools in my shop gives the impression that "precision work happens here". Maybe it is time to invest in that "impression".

Should there be a rubber spacer on the upper way tube? I ask because I have no experience with a 500.

Just slide the carriage far enough to position the blade in the slot where you want it.

If only I could reset the clock to that day when I had a full set of Ryobi rails. I had not yet upgraded the 510 and the Ryobi rails would have been such an improvement. The fuss of going to drill press mode with Ryobi rails installed kept me from converting. What a fool I was.

On my Mark V Model 510, the top of the Way Tubes (upper tubes) is 30 3/4" above floor level (with wheels retracted).

If you have problems with the five-point safety check. I highly recommend that you watch TV. You do not belong in a wood/machine shop at all.

They are inherently hazardous.

Just another opinion.
