I have been very busy lately and have not been on this forum in a while. My mailing address is Sebring FL. but I am about 10 miles SW of town.
I have a 1981 Mark V bought new, other SS tools are a band saw, scroll saw, and a thickness planer.

Depending on your tool holder, can you put an 1/8" shim under the 1/4" tool bit so that you can still use the ones you bought.

I have always soaked my blades in ammonia and then scrub then with a tooth brush.

One thing that I would recommend is to use a center drill to drill a hole in the end of piece you are machining and use a live center for more support.
