Sorry for the brief answer. Penn States Industry is a woodturning mail order catalog. They sell an adapter that fits the 5/8th shaft of the shipsmith. This allows you to attach most of the hogher end chucks. It sells for about $15.00

Base cabinet for Mark V

I have been thinking of removing the legs of the Mark V and building a base cabinet with casters on the bottom. Storage is always a problem in a small shops and the legs seem to be a wasted space. Has anyone done this?

Thanks everyone. I had considered the band saw and router options. Bu:) t the tenoning jig would work if the cut were not as deep. I will check the price of a better set of dado blades

Incra also has an 18" fence they sell for the original Incra jig which can also be made to fit the miter guage. By the way it also comes with a stop and extender, all for $34.95 purchased directly from Incra.:)
