Re: Still Trying to Fully Understand
I did the DIY PP upgrade as well, a few years back. Have watched the video multiple times-just reviewed again. For the life of me I don't see how to tighten the lower belt. I understand tightening the drive belt, using the eccentric to balance the two belts, but tightening the lower belt independent...

Re: Still Trying to Fully Understand
Again a great informative answer, thank you. Loosened the belt and yes can adjust the eccentric. Have it at about 6:35 position. Have tightened the drive belt, as you mentioned, a very subjective adjustment-- what is your experience with how tight is tight for this drive belt?

Re: Still Trying to Fully Understand
The eccentric on my PP upgrade is stuck--unable to adjust as per normal procedure. Wondering if there are any suggestions on how I might address this? Lubrication, slight tap with a hammer, or ???

Re: I'm doing a Power Pro Self Upgrade
I am making some tweaks on my PP that I upgraded a number of years ago. Am having trouble adjusting the eccentric to eliminate that little rattle noise. The eccentric does not move when following the directions in the PP DVD. It almost feels stuck. Would appreciate any insights for this. Also does a...

Re: Possible Solution to RPS 0 error
Did you ever get enough interest in this to post information on the filter you referenced? I have encountered the same issues, and solved it the same way your presented. It just seems that the MARK VII is much more sensitive to sawdust build-up to almost anything else I have used. I also find it ama...

Re: How to Resolve a RPS State Error 0
I have called Shopsmith TS--anyone else find that their service/expertise is far from the past? Anyway, the feedback is that RPS 0 error are typically caused by sawdust interfering with the infrared light source from the speed sensor. Who would have thought that sawdust would be present when using a...
