Re: Can a 12" Planer w/o feed motor be converted to manual feed?
No one's going to touch on that one, it seems. I can't seem to find an answer in powerpro documentation, so I might try calling CS to ask for directions for once.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Gorgeous greenie for $100 in the Lancaster (PA) area. Looks like the original paint is in just about the best condition I've ever seen. I'd buy it myself if I had already sold off a few things to clear the needed garage space.

Re: Can a 12" Planer w/o feed motor be converted to manual feed?
Has anyone found any good guidance on what to do about the feed motor if running the powerpro off 220V? I'm planning to switch over to get that extra 1/4hp, but it seems like this would be a problem when it comes to the feed motor. I guess I could just plug the feed motor into a 110V outlet, but I'v...

Re: Double tilt upgrade
I've had my double-tilt upgrade sitting right next to my PowerPro upgrade on the shelf. There are several tools I still need to finish restoring and sell before I can justify getting back to the ones I'm keeping, but man, it's like waiting for Christmas while having the ability to change its date. ...

Re: Gas grill recommendations???
Also, the question of what a grill would look like if it were built by Shopsmith is intriguing. I'd say a reverse-flow smoker might be the South Bend lathe, the Weber-style grill island is a Tannewitz sliding table saw, the vertical barrel smoker is a Walker Turner drill press, and the Weber Smokey ...

Re: Gas grill recommendations???
Most brands (no offense to Char-Broil owners, but it's the prime example IMO) sold in the big box stores will catch your eye, but they're like Harbor Freight: it will, in fact, perform its function, but not all that well, nor for all that long. They're the definition of "false economy." Ev...

Re: Lost my next & previous buttons
Same experience. I've lurked here for years without registering, but just registered to see if it might be that they had made previous/next buttons (or any in-thread page navigation) a feature only for registered users. Turns out that isn't the issue, but I sure wish I knew what is.
