Re: New Generation 2 PowerPro Headstock Touchscreen
May be next week before I get a chance to install it though. I plan on putting my Gen 1 PP up for sale as soon as I get my new one running. Let us know how much better the new features are and what kind of resale value there is for your old headstock. I am also thinking about replacing my old PRO u...

Re: Shaper Origin Question - where to see one in action???
The Plate looks to be a more portable version of the workstation that they came out with a few years ago. I have been using the workstation and have found it to be well worth the money. The workstation will support many but not all the use cases that the Plate achieves. The biggest advantage of the ...

Re: High Hopes hose addapter to track saw
Nice find, but I have not had much of a problem with the with the stock connector. I use a strap support from the ceiling to keep the hose up out of the way most of the time or use the collection bag for short sessions since I have a cordless.

Re: Jim McCann on Shopsmith Alignment
That is true but most commercial table saws I am aware of maintain a much tighter tolerance.I do find it very interesting that factory criteria for table alignment is as loose as .01" over 10" but, after all, this is not a prevision milling machine we are talking about.

Re: Dec 2nd in IL, nice day for projects
Thanks, Ed. Most of my limitations for a vertical cut setup are of my own making. The ProStop auxiliary fence that I have installed does not allow me to move the Kapex fences with the after market aluminum Zero Clearance Fence plates mounted far enough out of the way and currently I only have one ke...

Re: Dec 2nd in IL, nice day for projects
The saw is tilted to 30 degrees and the jig holds the work piece at 30 degrees I have been thinking about making a jig to hold work pieces at the desired vertical cut angle and keep the Kapex at a constant 90 degrees. The saw works well at cutting accurate vertical angles but I don't like having to...

Now for those of you who use the Domino (DF500) I purchased the "Q" set and the assorted domino with cutters. Since I have zero experience with tool is there anything that I should put on my list to make my experience better? Any thoughts or after purchase regrets are welcome. You are rea...

Re: Alternative AntiKickback solutions
I have used Board Buddies on my Shopsmith table saw for years and prefer them to the newer JessEm guides. I use the JessEm guides on my router table but I like the longer reach and heft of the Board Buddies for the table saw. I did make a hardwood attachment for the Shopsmith fence with a T-Track in...

Re: 3.5HP Router or Spindle Purchase???
Mine is pretty quiet if I don't run it above 18,000 RPM which I rarely do. I have it in a MDF box as part of my table with no other sound proofing. The noise level is not much different than my water cooled spindle but then again I might not be the best one to subjectively measure sound levels. Afte...

Re: 3.5HP Router or Spindle Purchase???
Sounds like a solid performer and not overly expensive. The ER-20 would be great since that is what I have on my CNC spindle and have a vast array of collets. I will keep it in mind if my Milwaukee ever gives out.
