Re: Current demo listing seems short
That just raises more questions. Who, when and why the demo was canceled and was the seminar canceled as well? I just compared the two schedule dates and locations to see if there was a correlation between them that may explain why there are so few demos scheduled.

Re: Current demo listing seems short
The seminar schedule ( http://www.shopsmithseminars.com/ ) lists: Feb 22,2016 San Antonio, TX Mar 7, 2016 Dallas, TX Mar 28, 2016 Denver, CO This appears to be the Monday after a demo in the same area. May be the demo list is short to allow planning of where the next seminars are going to be? :confu...

Re: Current demo listing seems short
I think part of the reason is Mike Young is doing the seminars/academy. I know that he lives in Oregon and covers the majority of the demos. I found in the past that there were only occasional ones in multiple towns on the same day, leading me to believe that there were not that many doing the demos...

Re: ??? How many here use their SS for the primary tool???
My SS is my major wood working tool. The only SPT I have is the band saw for it. I do have a compound miter saw, 6" bench top jointer and a thickness planer. I do have a plethora of hand held power tools and some hand tools.

Re: Attic find
My son was on the school trap shooting team, it was one of the only high school teams that 8th graders were allowed to join. The school uses a local trap range and competes with other area schools. My son graduated in 2010 and I know it was still there when my daughter graduated in 2012.

Re: Allen Key set screws
There is an upgrade kit that replaces the set screws with handled bolts on the lathe rest. Here is a website for the upgrade in the UK. http://martins-supplies.co.uk/presta/la ... evers.html

Re: Build Dilemma
How about a jig or fence that holds the board at the 45 degrees but the blade still at 90?

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
There is a jointer on the accessory shelf. Not sure what the dark item is behind the lathe tools next to the manuals on the ground.
