My recommedation of Makita was from my own purchase as a homeowner of a $80 something dollar saw. To me the feel of the saw is totally different than the Craftsman and Skil saws I had before it. My recommendation would be Makita. I switched from the really cheap ones years ago and I don't think I can go back. Once you use a Makita with a good Diablo blade and feel the difference in weight, balance and performance you'll wonder why you didn't sooner.

The 12345 listed as price is only a filler since the form requires a price the listers sometimes just fill it like that when they just want fair offers.

I have used old brake rotors with good success, you can lay them in the bottom of the tank and turn them over when they get crusty on one side.

It looks like the same one I have that Jet rebranded in the late 90's, I bought mine off a guy who had never even unpacked it 3 yrs ago. Works good but very hard to find any reference to it by Jet, I assume it was rebranded, probably a Chinese product. So far it's been a good tool.
