Re: What's wrong with my table?

So apparently the way tubes are in a twist. That can be observed by the changing front to rear tilt(off level) as the main table is moved left to right... To correct the twist loosen the tie bar and the screws retaining the way tubes at the hinge end. This should be able to cause solid resting on t...

Re: What's wrong with my table?

The 'big set screw' is both upside down and out of adjustment, but evidently not causing the problem. IIWM I'd next check the lower bench tubes to see if they are similarly out of level. Assuming they are level front to back, I'd shift my focus to the Base end of the machine. When checking pairs of...

Re: What's wrong with my table?

First check the way tubes both side to side and front to rear. If they are not level both directions, then shim the legs so they are. Ok, so the top way tubes definitely seem to be what is out of alignment. But I have no idea how to adjust this. The "back" (when standing as if operating t...

What's wrong with my table?

Whenever I need outfeed support, I do the old school way of using the extension table on it's base mounted to the Mark V backward, then using a rail to attach another extension table. Like in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mg9JazGDRag). But every time I do it, I notice that something is...

3/4” Blade on Shopsmith Bandsaw?

I found a local saw shop that makes blades. But they don’t make 5/8” blades. I need to replace my resale blade and was wondering…has anyone tried a 3/4” on a shopsmith bandsaw?

Re: What Are These For?

Wow I love this group. Always has the answers. I was talking specifically about the part in the miter slot, the hardware just happened to be in the table at the time. Now time to see if I can locate the dial itself for purchase. Or another one that will mount to this piece. Because there’s no dial i...

Re: What Are These For?

Time for a new installment of “what’s this?” I made a trip to my grandparents house and looked through my grandpas old shop. This came out of a drawer labeled “shopsmith.” I can’t find what it is or have any idea what it’s for. All that I know is that it slides in the miter slot in the table. $match...

Re: What Are These For?

Thanks! I would have never figured that out! Now if I had the complete rest. Unfortunately mine is missing a part. Anyone know if shopsmith sells parts to this tool rest? Or just the complete thing? Can’t find anything on their website. I’m missing the part the the tool rest fits into. The little re...
