I received a jig from SS. I'm curious what kind of wood SS uses in making the various jigs they sell ? I plan on making custom jigs and I like the wood they use. Please let me know the species.

I did the same thing when I received my Mark 7. Totally dissembled and re-assembled to get into the basement by myself. I think the only difficult was the weight of the head stock (appx 80-90 lbs). Other than that was an easy job and a better understanding on how eveythings fits together. Everything...
