Well it is sad. For health reason and safety I need to sell my shopsmith model 500 with bandsaw jointer and jigsaw attachments if you know anyone in the Salem Oregon area I am selling for 800. I do have posted on the Salem Craigslist

Well it has been 4 weeks since my accident. Got stitches out a week ago. Went through machine and cleaned it up. Need to replace blade guard and I will put new blades on jointer. I agree complacencies played a big factor. Not doing what I know I should be doing cause I did not take. Not making sure the knob on guard was secure cause thinking it was already secure. Thanks for the question Buckey. I was face jointing. Which brings up a very good point you mentioned. I was not using my push block. That could have saved me the pain also. Well got it figured out thanks guys. The set screw was all the way down. Loosened it up and sled great except for the plastic knobs on bottom they are worn down. Tried to loosen up but they are so seized in their may have to drill them out. Anyway thanks again
