510 Main Table
Just curious if anyone knows why the main table has four small 3/8” dia holes in the outer perimeter, one in each corner? None of the floating tables or extension tables have corresponding holes. So far in all my reading I have not found any reference to these holes and what they might be used for. ...

Re: Scroll Saw - Blade Change Upgrade
While I wait for the blade holders to arrive I thought I would see if I could improve the dust collection. Modified a shop vac crevice nozzle to move the suction cavity directly beneath the access cover, yet still providing ample room to install blades. I may have compromised a bit on my ability to ...

Re: Bandsaw Overhaul
For what purpose are the two tapped blind holes in the front miter slot of the cast iron bandsaw table? They are seen in the photo of the OP's bandsaw on page 2 of this thread. I have the same bandsaw and have looked in my manual, but can't seem to find the answer. Keith The two tapped holes in the...

Re: Green Scroll Saw - Blade Change Upgrade
I went back and looked more closely and I think the full upgrade kit really isn't necessary. The new blade blocks are all you really need (555708). The new hold down design isn't better, it's just lower cost to manufacturer. I would remove the rear blade support and use the existing hold down. Then...

Re: Green Scroll Saw - Blade Change Upgrade
Not having ever used a scroll saw previously, I thought it best to get the SS positioned where I am comfortable and I also made a DIY cyclone. Vacuum has a new Hepa filter, and to be honest the system is way better than what I expected. Shop looks messy, but its an organized mess. I'm calling it &qu...

Re: Green Scroll Saw - Blade Change Upgrade
I have a grey scroll saw that I upgraded the blade holder to the newer configuration. If the picture of the red headed scroll sawer is using your scroll saw then you'll need/want the full kit with the see through cover. The upgraded kit eliminated the rear blade support with a modern holder that is...

Scroll Saw - Blade Change Upgrade
Just bought this green (not teal) scroll saw, powerhead mounted version. Runs great, went through and cleaned lubed everything. Original blade holders work fine but are a bit frustrating & slow to use. Question: Can I just install 555708 upgraded holders directly on this saw leaving the existing...

Re: Powertool Woodworking For Everyone - Both 4th Edition?
This is fantastic information added in this thread, I'm so pleased I asked the question! For the record, the white 4th edition (brand new) hard cover book that I am reading now does differ a little bit from the online version available on this site in the academy. Starting early on, some sections ar...
