Yep that is the case with mine which arrived today. Mine is as much as .008 narrower than the 0.72+/- of my shopsmith miter gauge. In fact it appears to taper inward at the rear of the plate. Might be the machining or the fact they forgot to include the variability of the anodizing after the machini...

3mm A4, 4x8' sheet of Teak veneer plywood out of Port Townsend Wa is listed at $194/sheet. Iroko finishes darker than most teak but at $7.20BF is for interior boat work a suitable alternative. Actually Teak at $30BF is very reasonable for Burmese Teak. My primary marine wood supplier is listing 4/4 12"X10'up at around $43.00. CVG at over $70. Might want to consider laminating decking...

Are you using Mat or tape. Tape comes in 4" wide rolls. Only cutting is the length. Sharp shears cut cleanly. Avoid mat unless it is unsized (no wax) with epoxy resins.
