I don't think a full size router will work this way. I haven't tried it but gut feeling tells me you will not have enough room.

The extent of my wife's involvement, and it is very significant, she used to tole paint some of my work. Added quite a finish to the end product.

Lucky for me that I bought many of my woodworking tools years ago when made in USA was still common.
