Have a chance to purchase a 520 with power pro head. The system is very shiny and clean, however, it is not the double tilt or have the lift assist. Is it worth buying it like this? What would double tilt upgrade cost and would it be worth it?
Thanks

Re: need model clarification
Ok it is a 510 so can he use the Mark V adapters for saw blades on his 510? I was to believe the 510 adapters had a longer stem or shaft where it attaches to the saw blade.

need model clarification
Have a guy who has what on the silver plate it is a Mark V but on the bottom it say 510R. Can anyone tell me what are the differences as in tool arbors, dust collector lower half far as dimensions. Does this machine need to be treated as a 510 in every respect?
Thanks,
Tom

Re: PLANER OUTFEED ROLLER
I put the out feed roller on centers and reconditioned the surface with my skew and worked like a champ. Going to order the belt guard tomorrow well 3 of them to save postage as I will need them in time.
Thanks guys,

Re: PLANER OUTFEED ROLLER
Don't know who CS is. I found and older out feed roller not as bad as one on it now. I put it between centers on SS and put new groves into the rubber with my skew all the way across. Hopefully it will grip better now. Other person must have used it on thinner boards and it was smooth for about 4 in...

PLANER OUTFEED ROLLER
Just acquired a professional model stand alone shop smith planer. The out feed roller needs to be replaced. It has the metal knerled in feed rollers on it. Wondering if the rubber infield (if I had one) is the same as the out feed rubber roller? I upgraded my planer years ago and don't remember and ...

Re: planer pulley cover
Yes I understand 51421702 is the one I need. I have two of the other power stand belts guards new in box. Will check and see for sure since you stated planer guards come in 2 sizes. Thank you!!
