Completed making two canes I started a few weeks ago. I will finish them spar urethane. The first is Zebrawood handle and a Padua staff the second is a Mahogany handle on a Canarywood. Elphant tutorial

I was not sure were to post this. I thought is any one was thinking of making sticks it may be helpful I use the SS for cutting out patterms , sanding. Drilling horizontal for attaching toppers and some times turning tops for canes.

Walkingstick Topper

Started a new basswood topper. Hope it will resemble a Sheltie. Still some shaping to the face before starting on fur and paint.

Completed lab walkingstick.
Finished with spar urethane and spiral rap grip with a Turks head knot on top and bottom using one 25 foot piece of 550 para cord.

This is a basswood carving. It will be mounter on a 48" walnut staff. I will do a para cord rap for the grip.
