Re: Strange conversation with SS

Any update on your Speed Reducer order?

I'm thinking about ordering one, but don't want to wait months, and don't like open ended delivery times.

Milwaukee 35mm forstner bit - good purchase

Quick note on recent purchase, Milwaukee 35mm Forstner bit, purchased at local hardware store and used to install euro-style hinges for a shop-made 80" by 36" rolling storage cabinet. This cabinet is designed to hold my small compressor, track saw, and long clamps. The Forstner set I had s...

Re: Just me or do some "Current Specials" end early?

What is confusing (to me) is in the body of that email it reads: So, get your order in before 11:59 PM Sunday night and you'll save on all the disc sanding items you purchase PLUS get a FREE t...

Just me or do some "Current Specials" end early?

Is it just me, or do some "Current Specials" end early? Does a special get pulled when stock runs out? For example I thought the Disc sanding special was to run through Thursday but it's gone now and replaced by bandsaw blades. I'm new to SS and have only been hanging out for the last 60 d...

Re: Hello

Aloha - sweet deal with some very nice "extras", those would really add up if purchased separately. Looks well maintained too. I can attest to the "fun" factor, I've had my used 510 for a month and enjoy trying the different functions and have found it to be a useful addition to ...

Re: Looking For Jointer Knives

Have you checked out the FAQ section, it suggests calling for orders outside US. There is also a UK dealer listed, their web site looks good, and shows the jointer knives in stock.

Setup SS Bandsaw - Urethane or Rubber Tires?

My used 510 included a band saw, which I setup and used for the first time today. Quite impressed, smooth, quiet, and cuts great. There was a blade already installed, about 7 TPI. I cleaned and lubed it and will spend some time later adjusting and squaring things up. A much better BS then the 10&quo...

Re: Lowes.com and Shopsmith Mark 7 ordering

Update, four days later I have not been contacted with the pricing information I asked for. Not surprised with this outcome and not going to waste anymore time pursuing Lowes for Shopsmith products.
