How about using a second treadmill mounted above the treadmill you currently have but turned 180 deg. so that it runs in the opposite direction. Just a thought and it would probably require some serious welding to make it work but used treadmills are pretty easy to find cheaply on CL.

What else will I find I need to get started in this new hobby?
Unfortunately it never ends what you will need and "want" just enjoy it and never ever look at the receipts.

Shopsmith Scrollsaw newer model

Just thought I would share something I saw today on Craigslist. It is a SS 20" Scrollsaw on a powerstand for $125 in the Hartford CT. area.

Sweet vise and you can never have enough clamps I am learning very quickly. The handbag was a bummer but it ain't often you run into a real bargain find like a genuine Gucci handbag for $1. You still did good.

Thanks Bill. I realize i can only realistically use the two SPT's on one side of the shorty. But if I wanted to I could put my Mark VII headstock on the shorty frame and use the reversing feature to make it more functional. Have not really thought that hard about doing that was just thinking about s...

Making a shorty

So I have been collecting many other tools of late and I am now in need of more room to actually work. I have decided to convert my refurbished 54' Mark V into a shorty SPT power device. I want to be able to power the bandsaw and jointer on this shorty. I also have a speed reducer that I would like ...

While this is not an SS solution, we all need to remember there is more than one way to skin a cat (or whatever little homile works in your area). Look at this: http://americanwoodworker.com/blogs/tips/archive/2010/06/29/straight-edges-without-a-big-jointer.aspx Using a straight edge and a router w...

Yes Ed those are the parts that the owner was forced to make to keep using the saw. grizzly no longer supports this model as it is quite old and was marketed by a different Grizzly than the one now in business. He really did a nice job with some very crude machining tools and crappy welding equipmen...

That is really odd? I know there is no way i would even attempt to try and stop my SS with my hand on the coupler as there is no way I would be able to do that. There is definitely something not right inside your headstock with the drive train no way you should be able to stop the machine with your ...
