The photo with the plane is absolutely gorgeous. Did you make the plane?

Re: New Power Station Motor Or Fix It
Those are good prices from Grizzly. For the cost difference, I'd definitely get the TEFC motor. When I pulled my OEM Power Station motor apart, the insides were pretty well gunked up with sawdust -- especially the rear oil reservoir. The rear oil port wouldn't accept oil until I cleaned it out.

Nice legs! Can we learn a more about how you made them, and how they mount with those splayed angles?

Re: Great Idea or Just Madness...
That’s a seriously big Lazy Susan! That said, I’m very fond of eating at an even bigger one, although it’s been a decade or two. It’s part of a huge round table in the former basement kitchen of Miss Mary Bobo’s boarding house in tiny Lynchburg, Tennessee, which is now owned and operated by the Jack...

Re: New Power Station Motor Or Fix It
The oil ports on my motor have these yellow plastic plugs to seal them when not being used. PXL_20240327_003646944.jpg As for the bearing type, lubrication, and oil port orientations, see this old thread from 2013 for more color. JPG's motor was just like mine. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photo...

Re: New Power Station Motor Or Fix It
Hmmm … the exact same motor model number again. How do you suppose you are supposed to re-oil that one? Or dioes it have ball bearings, along with an incorrect label?
Now I see that the brand on the label is US Motors. Go figure.

Re: New Power Station Motor Or Fix It
I recalled that the label on my Power Station motor specified lubrication intervals, but didn't see that on glarson's motor label. So here's a pic that I just took of mine. Motor label.JPG Note that the motor model number is exactly the same on both labels. Yet glarson's label declares that THIS MOT...

Re: Help identifying parts
Google “planer knife sharpening machine”, look at the images, and you’ll se a lot of blade/knife clamps that look similar to that assembly. The knobs on yours look a lot like the ones on this Makita.
