Blades for Model 610 Jigsaw

Post by scottscreeker »

I was given an old model 610 jigsaw which works fine, but came with only one blade which I broke. I threw away the pieces of the blade before I found out Shopsmith no longer supports the model 610. Linda in Customer Service told me that she had heard Delta blades fit this model jigsaw. Does anyone know if this is true and if so, what are the Delta part numbers for their blades that fit? Since I no longer have any old blades, I have nothing to compare with blades in the store.

Hey Scott,

Just in case you missed it, I replied to your other request for this information.

Answer me some questions, and I'll share my wonderful resources with you!

Hi,

I had ask this same question back in April last of year over at:
http://www.ssug.org/forums//viewtopic.php?p=3697

Actual I ask several questions but at least one is about replacement blades. I went to the site mentioned:
http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/

You can look around for the ones that say they are for the older spring tension jig saws. The blades are made by Olson which from what I understand is a good company.

I was not able to find a source for replacement files other then over priced ones on ebay...... so if anyone comes across something.... feel free to post here or at the "other" site.
