Where to buy a Wynn 35BA filter

Post by Billdit »

I am converting my HF dust collector to two stage with a Thein baffle system. I am going to replace the bag with the Wynn filter 35BA274NANO . Before I spring buying it at Wynnenv.com, I wondered if anyone has somewhere to buy it cheaper? I don’t find them on EBay or Amazon at all. I’ll post the results of this change when I am done. Hope it is worth the $200 + expenditure!

Maybe you want to hunt for a source for 35BA222NANO. It appears that Wynn might have upgraded and the previous version is no longer available. What do you think would be a good price?

Wynn has the “222” and the “274” in stock. The number is the surface square feet of filter area. So the 274 has about 23% more surface area, therefore giving more “suck” . Other difference is the 274 has a fixed top, lists for $188...the 222 has a removable top and lists for $205. I am going to get the 274, wanted to see if someone knew where could get it cheaper.

When I replaced the 1 micron bag filters in my ceiling mounted air filters I found the Wynn filters better quality and about the same price as others. They were also 0.5 micron not 1.0 micron. I bought them directly from Wynn. After talking to the order department with some questions the lady said she would have the owner call me. He did and we had a nice conversation and he answered all my questions. In particular the Powermatic OEM bag filters are 3 bay as are all others I found. The Wynn filter is 4 bay so more filter area and higher air flow.

I purchased the wynn filter for my Harbor Freight dust collector over five years ago. Just tore the system down for it’s first real cleaning. You just can’t beat it. Buy it now, you get what you pay for, and their price is fair. You will love it!

I have to agree. My Clearvue cyclone has been up an running for around 9 years with Wynn filters. The filters have never been cleaned. The clean out at the bottom of the filters has about 1/8" of fine dust on the bottom. Maybe not a testament to the Wynn filters but the Clearvue. However, the Clearvue sends so much less stuff to the filters that they don't need regular "cleaning".

The picture is from when I first installed it.
