Time for truckin

Post by masonsailor2 »

It was time to make a toy for my grandson. My daughter suggested a pull toy so I decided to make a truck.

That's a lucky kid! And that beefy truck looks like it might be around for the next generation.

Finished it up today. The blocks took every scrap in the shop and very time consuming. Ready for delivery !

Very nice! Love the details like the smile, the sign and the dowels. Now, I want to play with it....and I am supposed to be an adult!

That truck is WAY nicer than the ones I made for my kids, and those still get pulled out from time to time when they are babysitting little tykes. But I suspect that my future grandkids will get some classier custom wheels. :)

Paul,

That is awesome and I am sure your grandson will love it. If you didn't do it yet, I would suggest you sign and date the bottom so when he gives it to his grandson he will have something else to cherish and remember you by.

That’s a great idea Wiley. I will do that. It will have to be done after the fact as I am leaving today on a road trip which ultimately ends up at their house. I think I will try making some engraved name plates with the shaper origin. I used it to make most of the truck. I can make it and the just affix it to the bottom with screws. I now have to start making another truck for the other grandson who is about six months behind Orion.

Great Job!

As others have said, I love the detail.

That is one lucky grandchild!
