The local Woodcraft store had a 15% off bag sale today and tomorrow, April 5 and 6 2019. So I got a set of each to play with.
The 2x4 Platform Saddles can be seen here:

The interesting thing to me is the post which will work in 20mm and 3/4" dog holes! Wish they sold the post in packs to be used with the Pannel Platform Kit. I have verified that they fit either version.
The Panel Platform Kit can be seen here:

Hope to get some hands-on with them this weekend.
They have them at Lee Valley which currently has free shipping if you don't want to go the Woodcraft route.

I have seen them at the Lee Valley Store, but haven't bought any, yet. They do look interesting though.
For those who would like to compare prices, here are the Lee Valley links.

Re: Veritas Panel Platform Kit and 2x4 Platform Saddles
Well I did get to play with them today. They do fit in both the 20mm and 3/4" dog holes so I can use them with my workmate or any of my 20mm tops.
Then I went to check out an idea I had of using them for the shopsmith based MFT I built last fall. This is a shot of it as it was built:
The new idea would be to make it more flexible by taking out the screws that hold the top to the undercarriage and use these new parts that would use the tops holes anywhere on the top so long (as they are inline) with were the undercarriage is. This would look like this:
I like the idea but for now it is on hold since I would have to modify the posts because as you can see here they are longer then should be. Other options would be a spacer between the bottom of the table and parts, or cutting them off or ???
So now I've got to get on to some other things......

Re: Veritas Panel Platform Kit and 2x4 Platform Saddles
Found 4 PVC pipe pieces that I had cut to use as spacers that seem to work. So with the spacers below the top the ends now are just below the surface on the top. Looks like it might be a solution.
