Using sketch up and a little tutorial over at the

I was able to make this birthday gift for one of my grand daughters.

This was done with my Shaper and while I know only a few of you have one it still might be useful to learn how to do this in sketch up.

It is 12" long and 3" high and 3/4" thick. The wood is one of my favorites birdseye maple. I have plans to make a pen out of the same wood and perhaps a pen stand if I get the time.

Have until weekend to finish it but will be waiting on the pen kits until later this week.

I hope the font rings a bell with all of you. NASA from the 70's. You can install it in windows and use it in sketch up and other places.......
