Belt Sander Belts

Post by mountainbreeze »

I recently acquired a Shopsmith belt sander that I have not yet put into use. I don't yet have any belts for it and Shopsmith has put them on sale. I am looking for recommendations on what you consider to be the most useful grits.

I agree. I find 60 grit the most useful. Also, if you have a Lowes near you, they carry some of the Shopsmith belts in the store.
Here is an 80 which should serve you well.

Try this site. They have the 6 by 48 belts and the 1 by 42 belts for the strip sander.
