I think I get it now. They're jack screws that also function as deadbolts. Very clever!masonsailor2 wrote:I left off one picture. What I did was make eight of those screw blocks using 7/16” all thread and I embedded coupling nuts into the blocks. The bolts are mounted to the doors at each hinge point and on each side of the doors at the point where the pairs meet. This allows me to support each door from the bottom and provides the security. The bolt go down into holes I drilled in the concrete. They also support the doors when in the open position the same way.
