Greenie community

Post by StevenAyres »

There are a few early Mark V greenies around here looking for homes. I'm definitely a 1-1/8hp guy, but I'm wondering whether there might be a group of SS owners who prefer the Gilmer-belt version and could use parts. I'm thinking about buying one for certain bits I need, then reconditioning the rest and putting it up for sale. Do you think this could be worth the trouble?

Depends upon their condition. 3/4 hp is more than sufficient for 'most' operations except the table saw and planer.

A dedicated drill press comes to mind if you want to keep one.
