Steve,

Thank you for sharing this information with us. If there is an on-line obituary, please post a link to it here so we can read about the rest of Charlese's life.

I never met your Dad in person, but he truly was an inspiration and much beloved member of the Shopsmith Forum family. He had a prodigious knowledge of forestry, wood, woodworking and Shopsmith tools and he shared that knowledge freely whenever anyone on the Forum was having a problem they couldn't solve on their own. I personally benefited from your Dad's knowledge more times than I can count. To this day, when I'm having an issue I often search the Forum for a solution and usually your Dad is the guy who had the answer!

He was also always ready with a friendly "attaboy" (or "attagirl") whenever I or anyone else posted a picture of a completed project (even if it was not half as good as he could have made it himself).

Condolences to you and your family for this tremendous loss.

Sincerely,

Alan G.

Thanks for all of condolences. Dad loved his woodworking. If there is anyone in/near Lancaster California I need to dispose of all of Charlese’s ShopSmith equipment. Please DM me for specifics.
