Re: Bandsaw trouble shooting

I bought a very old and well used bandsaw with bushed bearings and cracked, dry-rotted tyres. I replaced all the bushed bearings with cartridge ball bearings and tapped the guides to 7mmx1mm threads. Swapped the tyres out to blue Bandsawtirewarehouse tyres, added a dust port and the nylon screw to the upper guide rail. Put a 1/2" 4tpi starret blade on it. Powers through 6" Chechen resaw without problems. Dedicated resaw rig, life is good.

The blue tyres work, over on owwm.org nobody is having issues either....
