Newbie here... been reading through posts looking for info on Lubing a 10ER.. Just got it. went the the info that came with it, read through posts here on the forum.. about using wax , and light oil or turbin oil.... but need to figure out where all these lubrication points are in the head portion of the unit.

Its a nice machine in very nice shape. the PO was a machinist, and had made table Modifications that are nice (increased the table size) .

Help with identifying locations or where to look for the info for oiling and waxing will be greatly appreaciated.

thanks, not sure its neccessary but we'll see....still have 3 boxes of parts to go through.

And congratulations, you got a beauty.

On the 10ER's there really aren't any places to oil, unless you have a speed changer, or a jigsaw.. Use a good paste wax (Johnsons original, Trewax, Briwax, etc} on the way tubes and table tubes, and quill. I usually apply it with a bit of Scotch Brite (mildly abrasive) which gets any lumps or the start of rust, and then buff it off with a clean cloth. You can also put a bit of grease on the spline end of the spindle, where it goes in the drive sleeve.

An a real treasure, you got a Speed Changer They really expand the speed range from the stock three speeds.
