Stumpy Nubs latest video.

This looks like a very good option for the SS table saw. The price isn't too bad either.

That's excellent. I use fence extenders for large workpieces and agree with his comments on added control. My extenders are a pair of 510 fence extrusions mounted to the face of my 520 fence with countersunk screws and SS T-Nuts. The 5" height of the Bow Xtender isn't for me, it would not be compatible with JessEm TS Stock guides.

As a possible alternative, especially for 510, I'd suggest considering the Peachtree Uni Style fence: (https://www.amazon.com/Sacrificial-Desi ... ast_sto_dp) mounted as an extension. IIUC this fence is compatible with the JessEm Stock Guides and could potentially add that upgrade for the 510 and earlier community. This would also fit the 500, but I'd think that the total thickness of the fence would be objectionable. Full disclosure: This is something I think would work well, not something I've actually tried myself.

An idea that SS already has....
https://shopsmith.com/product/rip-fence ... 20-mark-4/
Problem was price for me.
IF SS would make it an option to compete price wise...it would make sense.
All of my many SS toys would fit/work.

Yes, SS has incorporated several unique features that make parts unique and thus Shopsmith becomes a sole source. As sole source, they tend to manage price in their favor.

Currently on sale and available for 510 or 520! (Not an endorsement, I've never used the SS version.)

Not withstanding the Jessem stock guides (which I have) the SS extension fence is not nearly as versatile as the Bow or the Peachtree items. Those options allow for extension on the in feed side as well as the out feed side. The SS item only allows for out feed side extension. With the SS extension you get either height extension or out feed length extension not both at the same time. With the Bow you get both at the same time. At regular prices the 46" long Bow is cheaper than the 24" long SS.

Not an endorsement here either. I have not used either of them. Just stating the facts as I see them.
