I had one in the front room of an apartment. Like Jethro Gibbs's, it too was a "coffee table."
Jethro's lived in the basement, but at various times, I saw his father, and Ducky, using
it as a drinks table. Dad played John Walton Sr, and Ducky has stated, that in his earlier
life, he looked like Napoleon Solo.

It seems that I added to the Wikipedia article on Jethro's name and Model 10.
Cast Iron Shopsmith Model 10ER is all in caps. Only I'd do that.

I started this thread ten years ago and at that time posted (above) that I would enjoy looking back on it for a long time to come.
Well ...... ten years, eighteen pages of restorations, and still active,
....... Yup I am indeed enjoying looking back.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed.
.... and I still have the 10ER!

Nice job! :) I love seeing the old Greenies or any of them restored.

Is there a reason you have the High Speed Lock out from behind the Speed Dial?

My guess is he did not know WHERE to put it since proper assembly puts it in an interference fit!
