Yes I did. I have them on a local antique/craft style store, and on esty.

My Navigator Yawl sailboat

Post by jbergen »

This is my 15' Navigator Yawl. Her name is "Ellie". She has been on display in several boat shows and even won a trophy at one. It took me 20 months to build her. I bought a used Shopsmith 510 and used it almost daily throughout the construction. I used every mode of the machine - even a couple modes Shopsmith never thought of! We love the boat and I really enjoyed building her with my Shopsmith.
For more information, I have a blog at http://navigatorjoel.blogspot.com/ with construction photos, video clips and stories of our sailing adventures.

And there I was puffing my chest about my pens.

Very nice. I dont think I would ever have the talent to build something that beautiful.

I was thinking the same thing about your pens. I really wish I could make them but my eyesight isn't too good when it comes to close up work. I've tried larger turnings several times only to discover I have no talent at it. I really admire those of you that are so good at it.

Beautiful work on your yawl! Takes me back to when I built a Windward 15 years ago. Nowhere near as complex as your project, and it took me longer than 20 months to build her. Fair winds and following seas!

Dining Room Table

First major project I did that used the ShopSmith. I just about gave up ripping anything after the aluminium upper and lower guards kept showering me with sparks no matter how much attention I gave to alignment of the guards and guides.

My grandad had an 1950's version of this machine and my dad had a 1980's Mark V (the one I'm using now) and all I remember is how easy they made everything seem to do on these machines as a kid!

Oh, I did not make those chairs!

I was really amazed when I saw those chairs. Then I read the caption at the bottom. Great looking set for sure.

I have 6 maple & leather Crate & Barrel chairs similar to those but I need 2 to 4 more - the back stays are curve on the horizontal not vertical though. I am going to copy them when I get much better at woodworking.
