I agree with HopefulSSer, only I went a little more aggressive, starting with 60 grit. I had drawn red magic marker guide lines on my table, and then covered with polyurethane varnish to keep lines from wearing off. Bad idea. The flat sanding block is the key. The wider (11") the better. Sand f...

Not the highest quality, but I was able to skew the image fairly quickly using Photoshop to make it more readable. I may play with it some more to improve/replace the blurry text at the top of the chart. Not an Everett Davis quality restoration by any means, but better. A PDF and a JPG version:

I check Craigslist every morning for Shopsmith (and Shop Smith) listings. The one I linked only showed up yesterday, and it must have been seen and bought by someone else watching for good buys.
