Drill Press Past 90 Dgrees
I have a 510 and just purchased a 520. My 510 drill press rotates to 90 degrees the 520 rotates about 7 degrees past 90. I measured both. What could be the problem? I am looking at a jig to make tables legs from a square piece of wood by moving the router horizontally and rotating the leg to make it round then adding flutes or other designs. I have seen some diy plans and am looking for other ideas. Larry

Has anyone converted or made a router crafter (like the Craftsman 720.25250) with their Shopsmith? I have seen some DIY ones on the net made of wood. It appears as if the Shopsmith table could be drug down the tubes with some type of hand driven screw with the router attached to the table. Just look...

I am looking at purchasing a spindle sander. Most of them have a 4 inch spindle but only a 105 inch stroke. Why not a 3 inch stroke. Just wondering. Larry

Hardwood Flooring
I have been making segmented bowls from solid oak hardwood flooring. It seems harder than wood I have purchased by the board foot. Is there a difference in the flooring as compared to clear oak? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Larry
