I am looking at building an indexing head for my Shopsmith. Has anyone done this? I wasn't able to find anything useful with a search. Thanks Larry

Re: Shopsmith to CBC conversion

Thanks for all the responses. It helps. No exactly what I am looking for. Still thinking about the best way to build one. Probably better to buy the craftsman router crafter. Thanks Larry

Re: Router Crafter

I am looking at a jig to make tables legs from a square piece of wood by moving the router horizontally and rotating the leg to make it round then adding flutes or other designs. I have seen some diy plans and am looking for other ideas. Larry

Gene: Any chance of getting some pictures. I have some metal working tools and could possibly copy your extension. Thanks Larry

Spindle Sander

I am looking at purchasing a spindle sander. Most of them have a 4 inch spindle but only a 105 inch stroke. Why not a 3 inch stroke. Just wondering. Larry

Hardwood Flooring

I have been making segmented bowls from solid oak hardwood flooring. It seems harder than wood I have purchased by the board foot. Is there a difference in the flooring as compared to clear oak? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Larry
