Thanks for the help Ed! I think you might have just answered a question I recently posed with respect to under table shaping. Looks like Shopsmith calls the speed increaser fence guard a "Router Table Guard" , or at least it looks similar. This is a bit confusing to this novice user but I'...

Sounds like great analysis JPG. I appreciate your help and comments very much! Agreed, Euroguard is an odd name. At least it wasn't Chinagurad ;) ! I'm in the Florida panhandle near Niceville which is near Eglin AFB. Here is one more question for you if you don't mind. Looking to justify a speed inc...

Thanks JPG! I wonder how much the mustache actually helps with dust collection anyway. Seems it would have been included on the Euroguard if it was that useful?

Euroguard?

I'm trying to get a shaper set up complete for a SS v.500 I recently acquired. I plan to build some bathroom and kitchen cabinets and need the shaper for making the doors. I have the shaper fence, cutters, rub collars and arbor etc. but I don't have all the safety equipment. There is a feather board...

Dusty, I recently bought the Incra miter gauge and I assume it's not changed from the one you have if you've had yours a while. My trigger grip fits on it as well as it did on the Shopsmith gauge. That is to saw very solidly affixed with no discern able movement or wobble. It hasn't had much use yet...

Check out page 1 of the band saw manual. It says the speed reducer does work. Here is a link to the manual:http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/manuals/845539.pdf

This YouTube video might help. You will obviously have to modify the process somewhat for the table tilting instead of the arbor. HTH!

I used to have a similar machine. It was sold by Laguna Tools and called the Robland X-31. Here is a link to a similar machine Laguna Tolls is now selling: http://www.lagunatools.com/combo/combo-nx31 It is very similar to the Felder with respect to functionality but perhaps slightly at a lesser qual...
