Now for the scraps !

Post by masonsailor2 »

So now that we have a big project completed it's time to use the very small scraps of mahogany left over. Waste not as they say. So our friends asked me for a mortar and pestle for grinding herbs so that seemed like a good use for the small scraps.

Nope. Did It on the 510 with a sled and a clamp. Too chicken to use the miter saw.

No such thing as scraps in my shop, just progressively smaller cut offs and eventually waste.

Spent the morning turning the mortar and gluing up the pestle. This was my first turning using the PP. Very nice having the lower speed without using a reducer. The low noise level takes some getting used to. I can hear the shop stereo so much better now :D
