Update: Thanks for some great help finding the plans, I've completed one for my grandson Now I've had a few requests for others. I have no idea what to charge for one though, as all the ones I've ever made have been gifts.

I'd think at least a couple hundred. And that wouldn't be what it's worth.

200 bucks would be a bargain!

2 to 5 times cost of materials. This covers the electric bill and something for your time. From what I understand most businesses making items to sell charge cost of materials times 4 or 5 for furniture.

I had hoped to make one for all the grandchildren but never had the confidence to try before they got too old. I finally tried a couple made from 5/4 pine so if I screwed up I would not be out too much money. Then I made one in oak which I sold for about twice the cost of materials. Now I am planning to make some for the great-grandchildren.

I agree with all the previous price suggestions, at least twice the cost of materials, or $200, whichever is higher., but the more you can get the better.

If I could make another suggestion for future models, a 1/4" roundover on the exposed edges would soften the appearance.

I've done them with a round over and without. I'm always torn which looks better. I just eased the edges lightly with the sander on this one.
